Within the CEEPUS Network Training and research in environmental chemistry and toxicology (CIII-SI-0905-02-1415) Faculty of Health Sciences has organized for students, a Summer School entitled “Hazardous substances”. The Summer school was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, during the period from 6.5.2019 until 22.5.2019.
The objective of the Summer School was to provide students with the opportunity to combine their study and research interests with an international team of experts in the field of environmental chemistry and toxicology. In the context of the Summer School we had invited top researchers and lecturers from various universities who will offer courses in the areas of environmental research, particularly with a view to promoting research in environmental sciences in order to support education in fields related to environmental chemistry. The main topics covered are chemicals, their transformations, degradation processes and toxicity. The programme will be organized in the form of intensive lectures together with laboratory practice.
The Summer School was financially supported by CMEPIUS Slovenia. Candidates were able to obtain ECTS credits for the workshop after their final evaluation.
